This is one of the best "quick" lock systems out there. I did a lot of research before selecting the Ironmaster and I'm very pleased with this product. Unlike some other "quick" dumbbells it does not rattle, is very tight when locked, feels like a gym quality fixed dumbbell, has the right distribution of weight and looks bloody marvelous. The free stand is a huge bonus and really makes this the ultimate home gym dumbbell set. Buy it, trust me you won't be disappointed.

The quick lock system does indeed make the changing of the plates very quick and easy. After setting up the dumbbell, the plates feel securely fitted (there is no chance of the plates falling off onto my toes). Although the dumbbell stand is very useful as it allows the dumbbells and weight plates to be stored in one place, I have found that the top of the stand is a little too small, making it more difficult to change the plates. The dumbbells and stand feel very sturdy and are well made. Other than the size issue with the top of stand, I am very happy with the dumbbell/stand set and would heartily recommend them.... Das sind die besten verstellbaren Hanteln für Leute, die echtes Hantelgefühl haben wollen, viel Gewicht brauchen und ein unzerstörbares Produkt schätzen. Beide Hanteln im Gewicht anzupassen dauert gerade mal 50-60 Sekunden. Das ist deutlich schneller als bei den üblichen Schraubverschlüssen und es macht sogar Spaß zwischen den Sätzen die Gewichte anzupassen, weil das Quick-Lock-System mit Schrauben raffiniert ist. Und die Qualität ist einfach von einem anderen Stern. Die Hanteln kann man fallen lassen und sicher sein, dass sie zig Jahre halten. An der Stelle auch noch ein Lob an Sport Tiedje. Super Service. Man kann die Produkte sich vor Ort liefern lassen. Habe die Ironmaster-Erweiterung auf 54kg hier bestellt und eine Top-Hantelbank "Taurus Hantelbank B940". Hätte ich vorher schon von dem tollen Service gewusst, hätte ich auch das IRONMASTER HANTELSET QUICK LOCK bei Tiedje bestellt, hatte sie aber schon vorher woanders bestellt. Besonders gut gefallen hat mir der Service und die Beratung in Aachen von Jule Voigt und ihrem Team. Großes Kompliment! Lohnt sich, mal ins Ladengeschäft zu gehen und sich beraten zu lassen.... Wir haben das Set heute erhalten, es macht einen prima Eindruck, das erste Training ist auch absolviert. Läuft alles bestens! Lediglich die Lieferzeit von 3 Wochen (statt 10 Tagen) war etwas zu lang.

Die Ironmaster Quick Lock Hanteln waren für mich, nach reichlicher Überlegung und Informationssammlung durch Foren und YouTube, eine sehr eindeutige Entscheidung: 1. War der Anspruch, dass mit den schnellverstellbaren Kurzhanteln bis mind. 40kg pro Seite, besser 50kg, gearbeitet werden kann. Dieser Vorsatz hatte schnell viele Hersteller in der Auswahl unmöglich gemacht. 2. Ich wollte Kurzhanteln mit den "klassischen" Hantelfeeling, weshalb für mich andere schnellverstellbare Hanteln (mit, ich nenne es mal "Seitenplanke" - um hier keinen Hersteller zu benennen) nicht interessant waren. 3. Hatte ich keine Lust mehr auf Sternverschlusshanteln oder solche mit Schnellverschluss bei Olympiamaß, da der Überstand der Scheibenaufnahme beim Umsetzen auf den Oberschenkeln, v.a. bei höheren Gewichten schmerzt und die Hanteln auch extrem klobig werden. Zur Verarbeitung der Hanteln: Die Scheiben sind mit einer gut gearbeiteten Lackschicht versehen, über deren Haltbarkeit ich zwar noch nicht viel sagen kann, aber anhand der Optik schon von einer gewissen Langlebigkeit ausgehe. Die Rändelung der Griffe ist angenehm - weder zu scharf, noch zu schwach. Als großes Plus empfinde ich noch, dass die Verschlussgriffe ebenfalls gerändelt sind, was das sichere Festdrehen der Scheiben als auch das Lösen problemlos ermöglicht. Mein Fazit: Die Quick Lock Hanteln sind NICHT die am schnellsten verstellbaren Hanteln. ABER meiner Meinung nach dennoch die besten auf dem Markt, wenn man mitbetrachtet bis zu welchem Gewicht diese erweiterbar sind (>70kg) und dabei das Gefühl klassischer Kurzhanteln behalten. Der Preis ist dabei immer noch deutlich unter dem eines kompletten Kurzhantelsets, wie im Studio bei gleichzeitig minimalem Platzanspruch. Würde ich wieder kaufen!... [Read more]

Für mich sinnvollsten, verstellbaren Kurzhanteln für das Homegym. Sie sind sehr robust und vor allem kompakt, ein entscheidender Vorteil gegenüber den meisten Mitbewerbern. Sie wachsen mit der Beladung. Beispielsweise beträgt die Gesamtlänge bei 13,5kg nur 26cm. Zusätzlich ist im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Systemhanteln kein Plastik verbaut. Sie stehen im Handling den aus dem Gym gewohnten Kurzhanteln in Nichts nach. Griffgefühl, Rändelung und Balance fühlen sich an, wie im Studio. Das Verstellen geht nach ein paar Wiederholungen schnell von der Hand. Ein weiterer, entscheidender Pluspunkt ist, dass die Ironmasters bis auf über 70kg erweitert werden können. I just bought the 20,5 kg Ironmaster quick lock dumbbell set. I already had the 34 kg set with the stand and the dumbbell add-on kit to 54.4 kg as well as the Ironmaster kettlebell handle. The dumbbells are absolutely amazing as I already wrote in my earlier review of the 34 kg set. I bought the 20.5 kg set in addition to the Ironmaster dumbbells I already had to perfect my homegym by not having to spend the little extra time to change the weights during my workout since I maximally use dumbbells for two exersices per workout. Typically these two exercises will require a weight of more than 34 kg (requiring the add-on kit to 54.4 kg) and less than 20 kg, respectively. In this way I overcome the only small drawback of these dumbbells (compared to the flimsy plasticy adjustable dumbbells on the market), the time it takes to change the weight especially when the weight difference is large. Having this kind of flexibility by owning 4 Ironmaster products is indeed an expensive luxery but one well worth it for me in terms of satisfaction and flow during every single workout. Another update I wanted to share is that when you have the add-on kit to 54.4 kg and the 34 kg Ironmaster dumbbells the maximal weight you can use with a single dumbbell is 59,4 kg (not 54.4 kg). And with the 20.5 kg set in addition the maximal weight on a set of dumbbells will be 59,4 kg. This can make a big difference for the strong guys out there and is another illustration of the value of owning multiple Ironmaster dumbbells and the add-on kit.... [Read more]

I bought the 34 kg dumbbells including the stand as well as the 120 lbs expansion weight plate kit (up to 54 kg). I simply love these dumbbells. The build quality is excellent, no rattling, excellent knurling on the handles, no pointy ends of cheap adjustable dumbbells when resting them on your thights before incline pressing. These dumbbells as well as the expansion kit to 54 kg replaced 4 sets of cheap adjustable dumbbells (spinlock or spring locks) and around 200 kg of plates. Imagine the space on the floor I saved and on top of that the maximal weight per dumbbell increased from 39.5 to 54 kg allowing progress for many years. I made and Excel sheet to get an easy overview of how many plates are needed to get a specific weight. I was lucky to have 4 0.5 kg 25mm weight plates with the same thickness of the 5 lbs plates meaning I can use these to make 1 kg adjustments in the resistance without loading a 2.5 lbs plate only in one end. They are not as fast to adjust as Bowflex and Powerblock but they are faster to adjust than the cheap spinlock dumbbells I had before and they are indestructable and feels amazing to lift with. Just the simple fact that the handle is thicker (3.2 cm) than the cheap standard 2.5 cm handles and the knurling is very good, provides a great feel when using them. In addition, the included stand is of solid quality and excellent for keeping order in the unused plates and placing the dumbbells in a suitable height instead of on the floor (again saving space in a home gym)....
